Although our unit is situated in Bromsgrove, we operate throughout Worcestershire. As a cleaning company in Droitwich, we serve a range of industries in the region. We are delighted when our hard work for one client means that our cleaning services are recommended to another. This was the situation when a contract with one dealership led to another management team requesting our services too.

Who is Lister’s Group?

Lister’s Group is a new and used car dealership. They have over 50 locations across England and are one of the largest family-owned automotive businesses in the UK.

Their Problem

The management at the VW Van centre in Droitwich was already aware of our partnership with other car showrooms within the Listers Group and had been impressed with the strength of the recommendation from their partners there.

Initially, they approached us eight years ago to quote for providing a cleaning service at their spacious, but busy industrial estate site. Just recently they asked us to visit again, to see if we would be able to provide a routine contract cleaning service.

Each dealership within the Group has different needs, so an in-person visit was essential for Sean to gain an understanding of their specific requirements.

During the visit, it became clear that, apart from the everyday cleaning that would be required in the staff kitchen, toilet, office and meeting room facilities, the showroom and workshop would need additional care.

The car showroom’s floor was often marked by the vehicle tires and high foot fall, and there was particularly high footfall in the workshop toilet area.

Our Solution

Once the quote was accepted a schedule of work was provided. We interviewed and hired two new operatives. Once references were obtained, a site-specific induction was given, and the operatives received their training from our team. Health and Safety, environmental issues and security considerations were highlighted.

To tackle the issue of high footfall that the workshop’s toilet facilities endured, Sean felt it was necessary for them to be cleaned every evening, Monday to Friday and this was built into the schedule.

Alongside this, we provided a deep clean of the showroom floor. We used specialist floor cleaning machines to ensure that all the tire marks are removed. To ensure our team could access the whole floor, this took place after closing time, as all the vehicles had to be removed from their display positions.

The two operatives’ work is monitored to ensure that the quality of the cleaning provides is of a high standard across the site.

Listers VW Van Centre showcase their range of commercial vans at their Droitwich showroom. Their brand is strengthened by the clean, hygienic environment we maintain, providing them with a showroom that is conducive to gaining new business.
