Clinic cleaning for an aesthetics clinic
Private health clinics are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and there is a requirement to provide their services in a clean safe and welcoming environment, it has become increasingly important in reassuring clients who wish to visit or undergo any procedures.
The Client’s Brief
Wimpole Clinics was established in 1975 and has been instrumental in the advancement of hair transplant and restoration. One of their eleven UK clinics is based here in Birmingham.
The private clinic offers a range of hair loss treatments, including treatment for beard and eyebrow hair loss. The CQC regulation section 15 requires healthcare premises to be ‘clean, safe and suitable for use’. Wimpole contacted us following a recommendation when standards were falling with their previous cleaning company, as they were informed we were a suitable contractor with knowledge of CQC standards in cleaning services.
How Cleaning Technique Helped
Sean and the team at Cleaning Technique have numerous years of experience in meeting CQC standards in their cleaning services. Sean was able to provide a detailed quote and CQC standard cleaning schedule, that reassured the management of Wimpole that our cleaning service would meet their exacting requirements
Once the quotation was accepted by Wimpole’s management, we proceeded with the recruitment process for a suitable local operative and after training and site induction, an initial clean was provided, this enabled each area of the clinic to be brought in line with our own high standards, but also satisfying those that the CQC demand of health clinics.
Wimpole’s building is a short distance from Birmingham city centre in the suburb of Edgbaston the regency-style period building is set over two floors. The ground floor consists of a reception area, consultation rooms, along with toilets and a kitchen area. The ground floor has a spacious reception area along with 5 consulting rooms, a kitchen and a conference room, stairs and walkways lead to the upper floor which has 2 further consulting rooms a small number of surgical rooms and a suite of washrooms.
The daily cleaning regime and schedule ensure that our operative has completed each element of the client’s checklist, this is completed alongside any additional infection prevention and control measures by the clinic and kept as a documented audit record for the CQC. The operative is also a key holder and confident in securing the buildings. Our vetting process at the commencement of our operative’s employment ensures that the client is reassured and can trust our operative in this task.
All cleaning products are provided and used in accordance with COSSH and colour coding guidance. We review the operative’s work regularly and our management team have quality meetings with the client to ensure that the service is meeting our high standards.
The Client’s Experience
Our knowledge and training of our operative to provide a CQC standard cleaning service enables Wimpole to welcome any potential clients into their clinic, knowing that it is clean, free from unpleasant odours and meets all required regulatory standards. Wimpole Clinics were delighted and gave this response:
“Thank you for your dedication and hard work in maintaining our facilities.”
