Covid safe cleaning is now more important than ever.
Since the pandemic, some many businesses are contacting us wanting to know how to ensure their work premises are as Covid clean as possible. Not only do they want a clean environment for their staff, but they want to ensure that our staff are taking every precaution when they work on their premises. As soon as the pandemic hit we wrote a Covid-19 policy to ensure our staff, clients and their customers were reassured.
But in the case of healthcare centres, the risk is even greater. Their centres deal dozens of patients every day, and they need to ensure everything is as safe as possible.
So when Lansdowne House Dental Practice during the pandemic, we wanted to ensure them that we would take every precaution.
The client’s brief
Lansdowne House Dental Practice is a large dental practice working from a period property in Bromsgrove. They were aware of our experience and brought us in to take care of their CQC Cleaning requirements, so that they could concentrate on providing their effective complex dental care.

For over a two decades Cleaning Technique have provided cleaning services in healthcare settings. This has enabled us to build a wealth of knowledge in CQC compliant cleaning and have experience in meeting the regulations and requirements set out for health and social care.
How Cleaning Technique helped
At the beginning of our contract, Sean met with the clinical manager to gain insight into the particular cleaning needs of the dental practice and drew up a stringent schedule of work to fulfil all their requirements. This included surgery floor cleaning, cleaning of waiting rooms, reception area, along with the staff kitchen and toilet facilities. A site-specific risk assessment was then carried out, including detailing any risk of blood born infections.
A suitable operative was recruited, ensuring required DBS checks were made and references were appropriate. Our cleaning operative then received training to implement the detailed schedule, alongside a checklist to ensure the schedule was adhered to.
Our operative’s work is then monitored to ensure provision of a high standard of cleaning service. Using the detailed reporting system above we enable the dental practice cleaning to be CQC compliant.
When there is a need for periodic deep cleaning of hard floors, carpets, upholstery or privacy curtains, the manager is reassured of our ability to carry these additional services out to an equally high standard.
Covid secure cleaning
Obviously, the dental practice needed reassurance of our ability to keep their environment clean as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold. During the pandemic we undertook rigorous contact surface cleaning with a virucidal (virus-killing) disinfectant and our operative wore enhanced PPE to include disposable aprons, gloves, mask and a visor. This gave both our operative, client and their patients the confidence that their health and safety is of paramount importance.

As there is a large team working at Lansdowne House Dental Practice, they have the reassurance that the cleaning requirements are managed by us and the operative has the experience, training and PPE to facilitate the safe prevention of infection. This allowed the clinical team to concentrate on their dental care, alongside giving a clean and reassuring welcome to their patients.
